Abstract
Recently, big data techniques are used for solving the 4V issues in many applications and industrial fields such as smart manufactory, social network, telecom, oil and gas industry, chemical industry, et.al. Such applications often adopt deep learning algorithms on GPU to extract rich contextual information and analysis results. However, computing power on one single GPU is not enough for today’s advanced applications. For overcome such emergence issues, we proposed a hyper-scale computing technique for improving the performance and usability in deep learning applications. In this talk, the speaker will introduce the experience on deep learning end-to-end solution on hyper-scale computing in the smart manufactory.
Bio
Jay got his Ph.D. degree at National Taiwan University. His research interests include big data Analytics, Cloud Computing, and Hyper-Scale Computing. In past years, he was a deep learning solution architect at NVidia, Santa Clara. His projects, including the AI framework performance optimization, DGX server benchmarking, Deep Learning end-to-end solutions, et., al. He is a member of Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society (Phi Tau Phi Award 2006 and 2016), NTU Design Thinking Club Founder, CTO of Fontech. Now, he is doing a startup, named Avalanche Computing, providing the hyper-scale deep learning end-to-end solutions for the smart manufactory.
All faculties and students are welcome to join.
