Abstract
In this talk, I will share a study that I conducted in a Freshmen English class. The study examined how a class of non-English majors used Linggle to solve collocation questions. The students’ use of Linggle to answer the questions was screen-recorded and analyzed, followed by one-on-one interviews to clarify issues related to their perceptions and experience in using the tool. The findings indicated that Linggle was efficient in helping students solve collocation problems. The results also provide some suggestions for the design and improvements of the tool.
