Abstract

The social initiatives in founding Agra Boutique aim at solving a social problem of low and unstable income of farmers. Because of the modern industrial production, the food system has been built upon efficiency rather than trustworthy. Such a mass production system transformed what we eat and how we eat, while we have less and less choices of food varieties, neither can the whole system be transparent.

How can we build a trustworthy food system? In addition to branding a trustworthiness of small farmer high quality products via Agra Boutique, is it possible to creatively initiate a new trustworthy system via a new technology? For examples, blockchain, or any extended applications of AI?
