Abstract
Computer vision has wide applications in various domains. In this talk, two computer vision tasks in different domains will be introduced, optical music recognition and image semantic segmentation. The first one is a cultural heritage project funded by Belgium government and Alamire Foundation. It aims to create a tool to automatically recognize Renaissance mensural music manuscripts to foster the research for musicologists and historians. The second project was funded by Toyota Motor Europe focusing on the road driving scene understanding.
