Abstract

In this lecture, we will explore creative and innovative uses of technology through real-world examples. These applications not only solve practical problems but also enhance artistic and creative domains. The examples will cover a wide array of fields including but not limited to interactive design, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and gamified design elements. These case studies will include applications from both domestic and international contexts, as well as the speaker's own research and his students' creative projects. This presentation aims to provide insights and references for students across different disciplines on the application of technology.

Bio.

Dr. Tsai Tsun-Hung is an assistant professor at the Graduate Institute of Art and Technology, National Tsing Hua University, and also taught at the Department of Communications Design, Shih Chien University. He completed his PhD in 2019 in the Doctoral Program in Design, College of Design at the National Taipei University of Technology. His research interests include gamification applications, interactive design and display technology applications, etc. Regarding academic research, he has published XR-related papers in Educational Innovations and Emerging Technologies and Sustainability journals, and seminar papers in IEEE ICKII 2022, IEEE ECICE 2020, and ECEI2020 won the BEST PAPER AWARD.
